Ray Brubacher, AccompanistFilms on the Hill is proud to have Ray Brubacher, the
Washington, D.C. area's foremost silent film accompanist to
accompany our silent films. Ray brings a wealth of talent and judgement,
as well as experience to the accompaniment of silent films. He began
accompanying silent films while in high school and since then has played
for the American Film Institute, National Gallery of Art, Library of
Congress and many others. Ray Brubacher teaches piano and organ to private
students and in his spare time serves as a crew member, photo archivist
and chapel organist for the SS John W. Brown, America's oldest
operating World War II Liberty Ship. FILMS ON THE HILL is a project of the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. |
